Allen Ramon Faust

Allen Ramon Faust, 90, of Cressona, formerly of Friedensburg, passed away Saturday at York Terrace - The Gardens Nursing Home, Pottsville. 

Allen was born in Orwigsburg, June 13, 1927, a son of the late Stella Lebera Deibert and Ramon Lewis Faust.

He was the husband of Doris Irene Knoll Faust, whom he married in 1952.

He was a lifetime member of St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, and a member of the Friedensburg Fire Company, where he was the former assistant engineer and captain of fire police; Schuylkill County Fire Police, where he served as chaplain for 30 years; and the PA Fire Police, trustee for 25 years.

He was a member of the Army Air Force and was stationed in the Panama Canal Zone during World War II.

He was last employed by Dewald and Lengle for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn Faust Otto; a daughter-in-law, Rose Faust.

Allen is survived by a daughter, Doreen Faust, Ridgeway; two sons, Edward Faust, Cressona, and Dennis Faust and his wife, Mary, New Philadelphia; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six sisters, Lottie Pascoe, Wernersville, Eva Webber, Seton Manor, Sue Gerber, Port Carbon, Rose Athens, Reading, Carleen Faust, Friedensburg, and Alice Rickettson, Pottsville; two brothers, Daniel Faust and his wife, Shirley, Long Run Road, and Roy Faust and his wife, Barbara, Panther Valley Road. 

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at St. John's Reformed Church, Friedensburg, with the Rev. Larry Daughan officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in St. John's Reformed Church Cemetery. The family requests donations to St. John's Reformed Memorial Fund, Box 58, Friedensburg, PA 17933.
