Darlene F. (Kocher) Moyer

Darlene F. Moyer, 61, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday at home. 

Born in Pottsville, Dec. 16, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Charles Kocher Sr. and Grace Moyer Kocher.

She was the loving wife of John J. Moyer, whom she married April 3, 1971. 

Darlene was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven. She was also an active member of North Ward Social Club, Robert E. Baker Post 38 American Legion Auxiliary, Second Mountain Rod & Gun Club and Rainbow Hose Company No. 1. 

Darlene was employed by several local textile factories as a seamstress.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Sandra Moyer Heck, wife of Bryan, and Michelle Moyer Bailey, companion of Daniel K. Miller, all of Schuylkill Haven; three grandchildren, Alexandria M. Moyer Donton, wife of Robert, Colorado Springs, Colo., Johnny David Bailey and Brandon Bailey, both of Grovetown; two sisters, Linda Shellong, wife of Pete, Schuylkill Haven, and Kay Ann Rohrbach, wife of Warren "Grumpy," Summit Station; a brother, Charles Kocher Jr., husband of Alice, Springfield, Ohio; a great-grandchild on the way.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc. An additional time for viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Rowe officiating. Interment will be privately held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, at the family's convenience. At the family's request, memorial donations in Darlene's name may be sent to Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
