August 8, 1944 ~ July 25, 2015 (age 70) 70 Years Old

David W. Kramer, 70, of RD Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday, July 25th, at home.

Born in Wayne Township, on August 8, 1944, he was a son of the late Wilson F. & Mildred  F. (Bahner) Kramer.

From age 56 on, each day was considered a special gift from God because his father died suddenly at that age.  When he talked about dying, his wish was to go to sleep and not wake up.  He received his wish.

He shared 52 years of marriage with his wife, Janet M. (Fisher) Kramer.

He was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1962, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy.

Dave deeply loved his Lord and His word.  He was a member of Higher Ground Worship Center. He was also a former member of Gideon International, Central PA Gospel Band, The Pennsylvania Tree Growers Association and Wayne Township Sewer Authority.

Dave worked for UPS for 25 years, retiring in 1993.  He was the former owner of Kramer’s solid rock.  He owned and operated Kramer Tree Farm for 46 years. Tree sales time was not just business, but a time of fellowship, serving three generations.

Dave was a diligent worker both on the farm and for his church.

He loved to travel South in the cold winters, riding his bike on Hilton Head Island and visiting his Aunt Mary & Uncle Carl in Florida.  Dave also loved golfing.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two sons; Jeffrey D. Kramer & wife, Marci, Schuylkill Haven, and Daniel E. Kramer & wife, Nicole, Auburn, and a daughter, Lori A. Steffy & husband, Roger, Schuylkill Haven, as well as three sisters; Eileen George & husband, Clayton, Lebanon, June White & husband, Robert, Cressona, Linda Dietz & husband, Randall, Harrisburg.  He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Michael D. Kramer & wife, Emily, Andrew B. Kramer & wife, Angelee, Douglas Steffy, Jennifer Reigel & husband, Kean, Wyatt J. Kramer, Bethany G. Kramer, Abigail J. Kramer & Benjamin N. Kramer, great-granddaughter, Penelope Rose.  He had a deep love for his grandchildren & great-granddaughter, receiving much joy and love from them.
