Dorothy J. "Dee" Courtney, 61, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Gaylord, Mich., Aug. 17, 1954, she was a daughter of the late George and Charlotte Grier Craigie.
She was the loving wife of Francis M. "Tex" Courtney Jr.
Dee was of the Protestant faith. She was formerly employed by Precision Air as an auditor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Georgeanna and Gary.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Tammy, wife of Dennis Levan Jr.; grandson, Dennis Levan III and his companion, Samantha Castellano, all of Pottsville; three great-grandchildren, Mallory Lynn Levan, Aubrey Jo Levan and Dennis Levan IV; six siblings, Leslie Amey and husband, Robert, Palmerton, Neal Craigie, Lansford, Eric Craigie and his wife, Francine, and Robert Craigie, all of Jim Thorpe, Charles Craigie, Pennsylvania, and Anne Pack, Virginia; a nephew, Josh Stoudt and his companion, Stephanie "Sassy" Spotts; a great-nephew, Tyler Gage Stoudt.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Union Cemetery, Slatington.
