George Del Conte, 94, passed away Tuesday, May 17th, at Luther Ridge, where he had been a resident.
Born in Garwood, NJ on October 21, 1921, he was a son of the late Emidio & Rita (Cavallaro) Del Conte.
In addition to his parents, George is also preceded in death by two sisters: Bruna DeStefanis and Doris Del Conte, and a brother, Anthony Del Conte.
He served in the U.S. Army. and had been employed in the construction industry doing paving and concrete work.
George is survived by a son,James Del Conte & wife, Kathryn, of Schuylkill Haven, two grandsons: James D. Del Conte & wife, Sue, Leesport, and Douglas Del Conte & wife, Shannon, Port Carbon, and two great-grandsons: Nicholas & Declan and a great-granddaughter due in August, a sister, Grace Tomaio, and two brothers, Emilio Del Conte, and Raymond Del Conte.
Services and interment will be privately held at the family’s convenience.
At the family’s request, instead of donations or flowers, contributions in George’s memory should be made in the form of acts of kindness.
