Isabelle A. Hill

Isabelle Augusta Naffin Hill passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 26, 2016.  She had been a short term resident at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, and was previously a resident at Providence Place, Pottsville.

Isabelle was born August 26, 1931 in Schuylkill Haven, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Paul R. Naffin & Helen Muledore Naffin.

She was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1949.  Isabelle was a lifelong member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Schuylkill Haven.  She was a bookkeeper most of her life and retired from The Call newspaper in 1983.

Isabelle was predeceased by her husband, Gerald W. Hill, who passed away on January 14, 2002.  Isabelle was the last surviving member of the original Naffin family.  She is predeceased by five brothers; Richard Spindler Naffin, Augustus Spindler Naffin, Paul Spindler Naffin, Harry Spindler Naffin & Robert Spindler Naffin.

She is survived by two daughters; Barbara H. Hill & her wife, Tina Yocum of Rehoboth Beach, DE, and Nancy I. Hill & her companion, Christopher Schultz of Lake Wynonah, Auburn, as well as two grandchildren; Timothy M. Zimmerman, married to Jessica Fehr Zimmerman of Friedensburg, and Sergeant Jessica N. Krammes Williams & her husband, Timothy Williams of Long Island, NY.  She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; Madison & Jacob Zimmerman of Friedensburg, and Emilia Williams of Long Island, NY, and nieces and nephews.

Isabelle will be remembered for her loving care of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren who were the inspiration of her life.  She was also very fond and love of her granddogs, Yogi, Teddy & Cotton.  Most of all, Isabelle will be remembered for her sweet and kind personality and her ability to cook for the family.  Traveling across country with her husband Jerry in their motorhome was her fondest memories.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Jerusalem Lutheran Church on Wednesday, November 30th at 10:30 a.m.

A viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Interment will immediately follow at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in remembrance of Isabelle A. Hill to Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 252 Dock St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
