Martha J. Schaeffer, 42, of Lebanon, passed away Friday at her mother's home in Minersville.
Born in Pottsville, June 19, 1974, she was a daughter of Sandra L. Wilson, Minersville, and the late Alvin C. Jones.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1993, and had worked as a CNA for Cedar Haven Nursing Home and Spang Crest Assisted Living Center, Lebanon.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry C. and Martha Wilson, and paternal grandparents, Daniel C. Jones and Jean Slackus.
In addition to her mother, Martha is also survived by her significant other, Donald G. Lee Jr., Lebanon; two sons, Dustin T. Jones and wife, Brandi, Granite Falls, Wash., and Jeremy A. Schaeffer, Schuylkill Haven; granddaughter, Emmalynn Jones; four sisters, Melissa Jones, Kingston, Kimberly Jones, Pottsville, Jolene Witmer, Pine Grove, and Susan Keefer, Minersville; step-mother, Janet L. Wilson; nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the family's convenience. The family requests donations in Martha's memory to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
