Michael Paul Krause, 39, of Auburn, passed away Monday at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street.
Born in Pottsville, Jan. 6, 1976, he was a son of Albert and Deborah Reber Krause, Auburn.
He was the husband of Christa Keeley Krause, whom he married on Nov. 30, 2007. He was the loving father of Harrison Krause.
Mike was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1994, and worked as a sheet metal worker for Local 19.
He attended St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cressona.
He was a member of the Landingville and the New Ringgold Fire companies. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Melvin and Evelyn Donton Reber; an uncle, Glen Krause.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, son and parents, are a brother, Roger Krause, husband of Tamara, Auburn; mother-in-law, Cindy Keeley, companion of Stan Staller, Cressona; sisters-in-law, Pam Ballat, wife of Eddie, Schuylkill Haven, and Tammy Wise, Orwigsburg; paternal grandparents, Claude and Sara Edwards Krause, RD Schuylkill Haven; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Nathan Druckenmiller officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Friday. Interment will be held in Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.At the family's request, memorial donations may be made out to Harrison Krause Education Fund and sent to Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 or Christa's home for an education fund for Harrison Krause.
