Robert S. Moyer, 91, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday at his residence.
Born in Wayne Township, Aug. 4, 1924, he was a son of the late Carrie Werner and Robert D. Moyer.
He attended Wayne Township schools.
He was the husband of Arlene Schaeffer Moyer. They were married 68 years.
Robert was a lifetime farmer, starting at age 6.
He was a member of the Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Summer Hill.
Robert was preceded in death by four brothers, Russell, Leo, Wilson and George Moyer; and two sisters, Mae Moyer and Erma Brown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Elaine M. Moyer, Schuylkill Haven, and Joan M., wife of Daniel Luckenbill, Schuylkill Haven; two grandchildren, Melissa, wife of Matt Sterner, Hawley, and Andrew Luckenbill, Schuylkill Haven; three great-grandchildren, Emily E., Allison L. and Grace C. Sterner; several nieces and nephews. Robert is also survived by a sister, Ruth E. Miller, Schuylkill Haven, and a brother, Joseph, husband of Gloria Moyer, Pine Grove.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Summer Hill, Auburn, with the Rev. Kathleen Ash-Flashner officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1185 Summer Hill Road, Auburn, PA 17922. Interment will follow at the Summer Hill Cemetery.
