Bruce Wesner Obituary

Bruce A. Wesner, 74, of Wayne Township, passed away Tuesday, October 23rd, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading.

Born in Port Carbon, PA on February 6, 1944, he was a son of the late Leland Wesner, Sr. & Kathryn (Auer) Wesner.

He was a graduate of Pottsville High School.

Bruce proudly served in the U.S. Air Force in Radar Communications. He had been stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Bruce had worked as a small engine repairman.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg.

Bruce had a great love and passion for trains.He was a member of the Reading Company Technical & Historical Society, having served as past president.

Bruce was the loving husband of Carole J. (Wagner) Wesner. The couple would have celebrated 42 years of marriage next month.

Bruce is also survived by a son,David Good & wife, Michelle, Leesport, two grandchildren: Nicole Zawidski & husband, Danny, and David J. Good & wife, Megan, two great-grandchildren: Hailey & Connor Zawidski, a brother, Leland Wesner, Jr. & wife, Sandy, Perkiomenville, and two nephews, one great-niece, one great-nephew, and his beloved cat, Boots.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 30th, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating.

A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Churchof Friedensburg.

An additional time for viewing will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Interment will follow the service at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
