Cecelia J. Gulko Hoysock

Cecelia J. Gulko Hoysock, 96, of Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Schoentown, passed away Friday at her residence.

Born in Kaska, June 1, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Stefanie Zelinski Gulko.

She was the widow of Walter J. Hoysock, who passed away Oct. 28, 2006. The couple had shared 67 years of marriage.

Cecelia was a member of St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, Middleport, and belonged to the Women's Sodality.

She had been previously employed by several local textile factories as a presser.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Edward and Steven Gulko; sisters, Genevieve Betack and Alice Struzinsky.

Cecelia is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Bowers and her significant other, Wayne Livesay, Suffolk, Va., and Genevieve Cecelia Keating and her husband, Dan, Schuylkill Haven; granddaughters, Karen Granneman and her husband, David, and Michelle Richards and her husband, Tim; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Casey, Christopher and Andrew; sister, Rosalie Moore, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews.

Cecelia's family would like to express sincere appreciation and gratitude to the entire Hospice of Central Pennsylvania team for the kind and compassionate care provided to their loved one.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Father Robert Plichta and Chaplain Dave Borton co-officiating. A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church Cemetery, Brockton. The family requests donations in Cecelia's memory to St. Joseph's Polish National Catholic Church, 1 St. Clair St., Middleport PA 17953, or Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110.
