Claude Krause Obituary

Claude C. Krause, 87, of Wayne Township, passed away Monday, March 12th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville. 

 

Born in Summit Station on November 27, 1930, he was a son of the late William H. & Stella L. (Schneck) Krause.

 

In addition to his parents, Claude is also preceded in death by his son, Glenn Allen Krause, grandchildren: Michael Krause and Dina Marie Klahr, and siblings: Fred, Harry, William, Lester, Arlan, Lilly, & Anna.

 

He was the husband of Sara Ella (Edwards) Krause, whom he married November 25, 1950.

 

Claude was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Summer Hill, Auburn, the Summit Station Fire Company, and the Teamsters Union. 

 

He was formerly employed at Arrow Carrier, Schuylkill Haven, as a truck driver.

 

In addition to his wife, Claude is also survived by a daughter, Linda Reed & fiance, Leroy Knapp, Sr., Schuylkill Haven, three sons: Albert Krause & wife, Debbie, Auburn, Dale Krause & wife, Joan, Schuylkill Haven, & Todd Krause & husband, Christopher, Washington, daughter-in-law, Eileen Krause, widow of Glenn, Schuylkill Haven, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and nieces & nephews.

 

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Summer Hill, Auburn, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 16th, with Pastor Kenneth McDowell officiating. 

 

A viewing will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

 

Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
