Elsie Lehman Obituary

Elsie M. Lehman, 86, of RD 2, Schuylkill Haven, was welcomed to heaven to enjoy everlasting life by our loving heavenly father on Friday.

Elsie was born in the RD 2, Schuylkill Haven area, on Dec. 29, 1931, a daughter of Mahlon and Mary Wildermuth Schmidt who already are enjoying eternal life with our lord in heaven.

She was the widow of George F. Lehman Jr., a Marine Corps Purple Heart Veteran.

In addition to her husband, the lord received Doris, a sister, to heaven.

Elsie was employed privately after graduating from college with a business degree. As the lord brought the love of her life George to her, she married and enjoyed being the wife and mother the lord asked her to be for her family. As the children were school age, Elsie and George were business partners in multiple businesses for over 30 years and they enjoyed the lifelong friends the lord cultivated in their lives during their business adventures. Elsie and George enjoyed travel with family, family outdoor gatherings, riding their large motorcycles with family and friends, snowmobiling, hunting, lovingly caring for the family farmland, love of animals, generosity to those in need, patriotism, and walking in the love of God as God directed their feet on his path. Elsie and George have been received as heroes of faith and beloved daughter and son of the king of kings and lord of lords, our loving heavenly father in glory.

Elsie was a lifelong member of St. Mark's (Brown's) Church, a non-denominational church of RD 2, Schuylkill Haven. She was a life member of the American Motorcycle Club, member of the Schuylkill County Motorcycle Club, associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police, member of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, life member of the Disabled American Veterans Schuylkill Chapter, life member of the VFW Post locally, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Elsie and George want you to know the peace and love of our heavenly father and the everlasting life in glory. George, Elsie and their beloved family invite you to ask Jesus to be the lord and savior of your life according to his living word. Romans 10: 9-10, 13 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. "Everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved."

Elsie is survived by her children, Craig Lehman, husband of Debra, Chris Lehman, husband of Robin, Crystal Lehman, and Debra Slutter, wife of Gary; grandchildren, Holly, Chad, Bradley, Kristina and Jill Lehman, Matt and Mark Slutter; a great-granddaughter, Ava.
