George I. Teter

George I. Teter, 88, of New Ringgold, passed away Wednesday, May 9th, at home.

Born in New Ringgold, on February 22, 1930, he was a son of the late Jonathan & Sara (Peiffer)Teter.

He was the widower of Irene P. (Grube) Teter, who passed away January 14, 2014.

In addition to his parents and wife, George is also preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Carl Teter, and siblings: Shirley Breiner, Grace Bitzer, & Guy Teter.

He was a member of Christ Church McKeansburg.

George was employed as a mechanic & delivery driver for Eckroth Farming Equipment, McKeansburg. He was also a lifelong farmer.

He is survived by a son,Carl Teter & wife, Susan, New Ringgold; three daughters, Susan wife of Clarence Paul, III, McKeansburg, Karen Riegel, at home in New Ringgold, & Nancy wife of Dennis Seltzer, Selinsgrove.Additional survivors include grandchildren; David J. Teter & wife, Amanda, New Ringgold, Anna J. Teter, Winchester, VA & Katie J. Miller, New Ringgold, Jody Goodling & husband, Gabe, New Cumberland, Marsha Zabarkes & husband, Ben, Red Lion, PA, Nathan Paul & wife, Laura, Middletown, Mark Paul & wife, Kim, Orwigsburg, Roxanne Waite & husband, Jeremy, Beavertown, PA, Audrey Seltzer, Selinsgrove, 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Dolores Stump, Schuylkill Haven, & Ellen Lengel, Pine Grove.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at Christ Church McKeansburg at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 14th, with Pastor Sunny Stock, & Jonathan Heim co-officiating.

A viewing will be held at the church on Mondayfrom9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Interment will immediately follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
