James L. Madenfort, 85, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, November 29th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born in Williamsport, PA on June 27, 1932, he was a son of the late James L. & Helen (Frenk) Madenfort.
He was the husband of M. Jane (Evans) Madenfort, whom he married June 29, 1952.
Jim was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1950. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University in 1958.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and later served in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Jim had been employed as an engineer, retiring in 1997 from Occidental Chemical, Pottstown.
He was a member and past Elder at First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, where he also served on the banquet committee.
Jim was also a member of Schuylkill Haven Lions Club and Orwigsburg Lodge #138 F&AM.
In addition to his parents, Jim is also preceded in death by two sisters: Patricia Stuempfle, and Joan McMaken.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by four sons: Mark Madenfort, Boca Raton, FL, Matthew Madenfort, Mitchell Madenfort, both of Auburn, and Michael Madenfort, Hockessin, DE, and one grandchild, Taylor, Boca Raton, FL.
