Jan R. Sweat Gentry, 66, of Pottsville, formerly of Chesterton, IN, passed away Saturday, September 9th, at Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Schuylkill Haven, where she had
been a resident.
Born in Pottsville on January 27, 1951, she was a daughter of the late John & Gloria (Reinoehl) Sweat.
She was a graduate of Saint Clair High School and was formerly employed by Bethlehem Steel.
She is survived by her son, Rory Gentry of Florida; two sisters: Debra A. Forney wife of Robert Forney of Pottsville, and Judith Hulet of St. Clair; a granddaughter, Saavik Boomgarden of Florida; great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews; and great-nieces & great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Jan is also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sweat.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at Saint Clair Wade United Methodist Church, St. Clair, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 30th, with Christ Servant Minister, Debra A. Forney officiating.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Interment will be held at a later date.
