Kathleen "Kay" (Schussler) Johosky

Kathleen M. "Kay" Johosky, 78, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the York Terrace Nursing Home. 

Kay was born in the Bronx, N.Y., Jan. 25, 1939, the youngest daughter of the late Joseph F. and Kathryn Leitz Schussler. 

She was employed as a secretary at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center at Castle Point, N.Y., for many years before retiring to Pennsylvania with her husband, John W. Johosky. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2012, and by her brother, Joseph W. Schussler, in 1995. 

Kay is survived by a son, William and his wife, Christina, and daughter, Kathleen and her husband, William Pulcastro, both of New York; sister, Elaine; brother-in-law, William Tobin; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schussler. She will be greatly missed by her niece, Eileen Allen, and her nephews, Joseph and Robert Schussler, and by her six grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. 

A Catholic funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday with a viewing beginning at 11 a.m. for family and friends at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. Interment will immediately follow at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven. Kay's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Denise Hughes and the caregivers from Addus Healthcare as well as the nursing staff of York Terrace Nursing Home for their kind attention and care over the past few years.
