Larry L. Luckenbill, Sr.

Larry L. Luckenbill Sr., 72, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, Jan. 16, 1945, he was a son of the late Joyce Reber and Richard Luckenbill Sr.

He was the husband of Carol M. Rohrbach Luckenbill.

He was owner and operator of Luckenbill Brothers Paving Inc. As a well-respected member of the community, he was also supervisor of Wayne Township for 29 years.

Larry was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1962. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed golfing with his family and the Linksters.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Richards; stepmom, Betty Luckenbill Boyer.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by children, Larry Luckenbill Jr., husband of Diane, Pottsville, Christine Luckenbill, Auburn, and Scott Luckenbill, Annville; grandchildren, Sarah Evans, Joyce Rose, Darron, Lorissa, Kiefer and Lyle Luckenbill; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Zoey Evans and Jaxon Rose; stepbrother, Richard Luckenbill Jr., husband of Donna, Schuylkill Haven; stepsister, Laurel Englert, wife of John, Greenville; nieces and nephews.

Larry was a tender, compassionate and loving husband and father. He was selflessly generous to all and was instrumental in continuing the legacy of the close-knit Luckenbill family. He will always be remembered for his kind spirit. Best Pop-Pop ever!

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Elder Bob Riddle officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Reedsville Cemetery.
