Dale A. Schaeffer

Dale A. Schaeffer, 85, of Orwigsburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem.

Born Aug. 4, 1936, in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Sadie Schaeffer.

He was the widower of Sylvia J. (Koenig) Schaeffer.

He was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Cressona, and had served in the Army.

He had been employed by Blue Mountain Elementary School as a custodian.

In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Traci Hammond, wife of Stephen, Orwigsburg, and Heather Seltzer, wife of Tim, Ridgely, Md.; grandchildren, Caitlin Shaffer (fiancé, John Zaprazny), Eliza Dale Seltzer, Nate Seltzer and Mia Seltzer.

Services and interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
