Alvin L. Reber, 68, of Auburn, died Friday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Auburn, Feb. 23, 1948, he was a son of the late Emily A. Schaeffer and Lewis Reber.
He graduated from Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1966.
Alvin retired from Tempur Sealy, Delano.
He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Landingville, and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Roberts, and a stepson, Jim Houston.
Alvin is survived by three daughters, Susan M., wife of Kevin C. Kauffman, Saint Clair, Teresa L., wife of William Noecker, Landingville, and Barbara Kriner, Auburn; a son, Jeffery A. Reber, husband of Monica, Cressona; a stepson, Michael Houston; 11 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen, wife of Robert Szymanski, Dalton, and Janet, wife of Danial Strausser, Wellsboro; a niece and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Park Hill Cemetery, Landingville.
