Alvin L. Reber, 68, of Auburn, died Friday evening at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Auburn, Feb. 23, 1948, he was a son of the late Emily A. Schaeffer and Lewis Reber.
He graduated from Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1966.
Alvin retired from Tempur Sealy, Delano.
He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Landingville, and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Roberts, and a stepson, Jim Houston.
Alvin is survived by three daughters, Susan M., wife of Kevin C. Kauffman, Saint Clair, Teresa L., wife of William Noecker, Landingville, and Barbara Kriner, Auburn; a son, Jeffery A. Reber, husband of Monica, Cressona; a stepson, Michael Houston; 11 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eileen, wife of Robert Szymanski, Dalton, and Janet, wife of Danial Strausser, Wellsboro; a niece and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Park Hill Cemetery, Landingville. At the family's request, contributions may be sent to either the American Cancer Society , P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123, or to the Ronald McDonald House of Danville Inc., P.O. Box 300, Danville, PA 17821.
