Anna Bowers, 86, of Cressona, passed away Saturday at home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Pottsville, Dec. 20, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Maskerines.
Anna was a homemaker most of her life.
She was the widow of Ralph C. Bowers, her husband of 55 years, who preceded her in death in December 2003.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, John Maskerines, Joseph "Joey" Maskerines, Mary Sirok, Betty Perlack and Veronica Kolochock.
She is survived by two sons, Ralph C. Bowers and wife, Jane, Cressona, and Robert J. Bowers, Cressona; a daughter, Kathy A. Thompson, Pottsville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred Maskerines, Pottsville.
Family and relatives are invited to attend a Celebration of Life funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Pastor Doug Cresswell officiating. A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until the funeral service Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Cressona Cemetery.
