Anne M. Lipsky, 86, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 10th at home.
She was born in Pottsville on August 17, 1939, a daughter of the late William and Helen (McNamara) Minnichbach. She was the widow of Edward Lipsky. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers Leslie (Kuss) and Howard and 2 sisters Rosella and Madeline (Madge) Frew. Despite being the last surviving member of her family, she will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Anne was a devoted member of Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
Anne enjoyed life by picnicking with family at the family’s “Park,” county/regional state parks, and “glamping” at her creekside campsite. She enjoyed traveling for vacations and taking bus trips. Anne was a big fan of the Phillies as well as figure skating. In 2007, she was thrilled to be in the audience for the Skate America competition in Reading. Anne had been an avid reader, and her favorite author was Nicholas Sparks. Her longtime BFF, Hazel, made sure to send Anne a signed copy of his latest book. Anne looked forward to weekly luncheons at Palermo’s with 3 of her beloved cousins: Babs, Judy, and Brian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 23rd at St. Ambrose Church, Schuylkill Haven, with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:15 am until time of Mass. Interment will follow at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
