Pottsville

Anthony Holland, 53, of Pottsville, passed away after a long 5-year battle with cancer on Thursday, April 3rd, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St. surrounded by his family.

Born in Manhattan, NY on June 10, 1971, he was the son of the late Judith A. (Watson) and Larnce L. Holland.

Anthony was the husband of Amber (Fick) Holland, to whom he was married for 16 years and together with for 20.

He was self-employed.

Anthony will be remembered for his witty personality, strong work ethic, determination, and selflessness. He was a loving husband and caring father. He enjoyed spending time with family and close friends, traveling, and the outdoors. You could find Anthony being a "grill master" on the Traeger -- music blaring, beer in hand, while singing his favorite songs. Anthony will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Anthony is survived by three children: Aaliyah Holland, at home, Irene Spickerman, and Nathenial Holland; a granddaughter, Livae Spickerman; and siblings: Tanya Holland, Shelia Wallace, and Karen Burns. He is also survived by nieces: Kayla Smith, Hadley and Hayzel Fick; a nephew, Jaivion Henderson; mother-in-law, Lori Fick and companion; father-in-law, Terry Fick and wife; brother-in-law, Austin and wife; and sister-in-law, Ashely Fick.

Anthony's love for his daughter is a testament to the special bond and unwavering love they shared; Aaliyah was his pride and joy. The daddy- daughter bond they shared was inspiring. He was her biggest supporter, from dance dad to horse show dad, where you could find him holding a horse for hours on end. They could be found riding four-wheelers, shooting, and at the farm. Aaliyah could talk her dad into any shopping trip or nail appointment by just one smile. Their bond and love will forever be etched in her heart and something that time can never diminish.

In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by a brother, Danny "Sugabear" Smith.
