Barbara Ruth Bast
Barbara Ruth Bast, 60, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, October 5th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.
Barbara was born in Pottsville, on February 24, 1957, a daughter of the late Lois L. (Ney) and Charles W. "Sonny" Bast.
Barb was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Class of 1975. She was a member of the Northward Social Club. She worked as a at cashier at the Acme Grocery store prior to her diagnosis of MS.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Steve Bast.
Barb is survived by her daughters Rebecca Bast Reber wife of Kevin, Auburn and Abigail Fisher Sonnon wife of Ryan, Schuylkill Haven; siblings Wally Bast husband of Linda, Pine Grove and Mike Bast husband of Lori, Tremont; grandchildren Brandon, Mason, Cheyenne, Crystal, Nolan and Aiden; great grandchild Brooklyn; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. , Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 11th.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday 5-7 pm and Wednesday 9:30 am until the time of the service, both being held at the funeral home.
Interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven.
