Bessie Bazar, 95, of Cressona, passed away Wednesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.
Born in Cressona, July 27, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Anastazia Bazar.
She was a graduate of Cressona High School and was formerly employed by Argo Knitting Mill.
Bessie was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wesley and Stephen Bazar; three sisters, Pearl and Anna Bazar and Mary Macy.
Bessie is survived by two brothers, Leo Bazar, Cressona, and Joseph Bazar, Carlisle; two nieces, Carol McKissick, Ellicott City, Md., and Susan Gesoff, Katy, Texas; a nephew, James Bazar, Frisco, Texas.
A graveside service will be held at noon Monday at St. Ambrose Cemetery, Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Mark Fesniak officiating.
