Daniel D. Eifert, Sr.

Daniel David Eifert, Sr., 90, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, September 27th, at his son's home.

Daniel was born in Pottsville on September 16, 1936, a son of the late Leroy A. & Ruth F. (Krammes) Eifert.

He was the widower of Gladys (Keifer) Eifert.

In addition to his parents and wife, Daniel is also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Eifert.

He was a graduate of Cressona High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force.

Daniel was a member of Bethany Christian Fellowship Church, Cressona.

He served as past Commander of American Legion Post #286, Cressona, past District 13 Deputy Commander, past President of New Minersville Rod & Gun Clu, and was a Life Member of Cressona Fire Co. No. 1, as well as the Rainbow Hose Co. No. 1, Schuylkill Haven. He was a Free & Accepted Mason – a member of Cressona Lodge #222.

Daniel is survived by four children: Elizabeth Ann Yarnell, wife of George, Mechanicsville, Linda Decker, wife of Mark, Tyrone, PA, Daniel Eifert, Jr., husband of Karen, New Ringgold, & Danielle Wank, wife of Jared, Pottsville, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two brothers: Joel, & William, a sister, Ruth Ann, and nieces & nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Rev. Dennis Snyder officiating on Tuesday, October 6th at 11 AM.

A Viewing will be held from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

A reception will be held at the Cressona Fire Co. No. 1 at the conclusion of the interment services.
