David J. Nye, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, August 8th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on December 25, 1947, he was a son of the late William & Anna Nye.
Dave was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, and was formerly employed by Haven Line Industries as night watchman.
He is survived by two sons: Galen Nye, Leesport, & Eric Nye, Schuylkill Haven, grandchildren: Tyler, Mackenzie, Malaki, Christopher, and Alyssa Nye, and two brothers, Charles Felty, & William Nye.
In addition to his parents, Dave is also preceded in death by his son, Jason Nye, and brother, Tex Felty.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 15th, with Reverend James Fidler officiating.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
