Doris Marie (Eckert) Willhoyte

Doris Marie Willhoyte, 93, of Summit Station, passed away Monday, January 31st, at home.



Born in Auburn on May 17, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Elwood & Anna (Petry) Eckert.



She was the widow of Raymond H. "Pappy" Willhoyte; who passed away in 2011.



In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Bonnie Carrol, brother, Harold E. Eckert, and sisters: Ruth Reed, & Jeanette Hall. Doris was the last surviving member of her immediate family.



Doris was a 1946 graduate of Auburn High School.



She was the former owner and operator of the Blue Ridge Hotel.



Doris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Summer Hill, Auburn.



She is survived by step-son, John R. Willhoyte & wife, Diane, step-son, Robert A. Montgomery, several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.



A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 12th at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, with Pastor Randy Hall officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 AM until the time of service. Interment will be privately held.
