Dorothy M. "Dottie" Brown

Dorothy M. "Dottie"  Brown, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday, December 23rd, at home.

Born in Pottsville on January 5th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Rosenberger) and Albert Schmitt.

She was the wife of Richard D. Brown.

Dottie was the owner and operator at PicADeli for 39 years.

In addition to her husband, Dottie is survived by a daughter, Loretta Wonchalk, of Seltzer; a son, Andrew Slifko, of Pottsville; a step daughter, Cindy Brown, of New Philadelphia; a step son, Richard Brown, husband of Sue, of Schuylkill Haven; two sisters, Ann Marie, wife of Frank Richter, of Auburn; Adelaide "Patsy" Trabosh, of Pottsville;  and a brother, John Schmitt, of Pottsville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Mary Yeastadt & Elizabeth Barone, and brothers, Albert "Butch" and William "Hick" Schmitt.

Services are private at the convenience of family.
