Francis "Moochie" Minrod

Francis “Moochie” Minrod, 71, of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday, May 11th, at home.

Moochie was born in Pottsville, PA on December 20, 1954, a son of the late Kathryn (Farber) and Joseph Minrod.

He was a graduate of St. Clair High School, class of 1973.

Moochie worked for many years as a union laborer for Asphalt Paving Systems, Local 158.

He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed hunting and going to the drag races. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Moochie is survived by daughters Rachael Bartashus, wife of Joel and Jada Kolbe, wife of Steven; granddaughters Molly and Alaina Bartashus; sisters Patricia Hechler and Teresa Shamonsky, wife of John; brothers Joseph Minrod, husband of Cindy and Michael Minrod; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George Minrod (Kathy) and Jeffrey Minrod.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday, May 15th at Haus Bartashus Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. in New Philadelphia, PA with Deacon John Matulevich officiating. A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 PM until the time of services.
