Gladys C. Ott

Gladys Carol Ott, 102, of Orwigsburg, passed away Sunday, August 9th, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, where she had been a resident.

Gladys was born in Emmaus, PA on July 11, 1924, and was a daughter of the late Walter & Florence Yiehl.

She was the widow of Clarence Ott.

She was a member of Grace Free Church, Orwigsburg, where she greatly enjoyed her church family, including the ladies from the women’s Bible study and especially her dear friends Nancy and Carol.

Gladys was a graduate of Emmaus High School.

She worked as a line operator at General Electric for 27 years and also worked for BonTon until she was 85 years old.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Rev. Randy Ott and his wife, Lynn, and her grandson, Caleb Ott.

Gladys is survived by her son Dennis Ott, husband of Linda; two granddaughters: Heather Beamon, wife of Brad, Jennifer Hyson, widow of Steven Hyson; three grandsons: Joshua Ott, husband of Jennifer, Matthew Ott, husband of Jamie, & Luke Ott; and several great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Grace Free Church, Orwigsburg on Friday, August 14th at 3:00 PM.
