Henry H. Hummel

Henry "Hank" Hummel, 73, of Reading, passed away Saturday, April 5th, at Laureldale Nursing & Rehabilitation, Laureldale, PA.

Born in Pottsville on June 9, 1951, he was a son of the late Edward L. Hummel, Sr. & Jeanette (Zimmerman) Hummel.

Married 45 years, he was the husband of Audrey M. (Morrison) Hummel.

Hank was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University.

He worked as the Human Resources Manager for the former Reneer Films Corp. and retired from the former Elk Corp., now GAF, Myerstown after 15 years of service.

Hank was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his wife, Hank is also survived by his brother, Edward "Lew" Hummel, Jr., of Schuylkill Haven, and his beloved cat, Sabre.

A graveside service will be conducted at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday, April 17th at 10:30 AM with Rev. Shawn VanDyke officiating.
