James E. Dunnigan, Sr.

James E. Dunnigan, Sr., 84, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, January 9th, at Pottsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville on June 16, 1937, he was a son of the late Joseph Dunnigan, Sr. & Anna (Buehler) Dunnigan.

He was the husband of Barbara M. (Fritz) Dunnigan. The couple shared 53 years of marriage.

Jim was a 1957 graduate of Pottsville High School.

He served in the U.S. Marines.

Jim was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

He was last employed by Craftex Mills, Auburn, in the maintenance department.

In addition to his wife, Jim is also survived by a son, James E. Dunnigan Jr., widower ofHeather,Schuylkill Haven, two granddaughters: Alicia & Caitlin, and nieces & nephews: Patricia Langley, widow of Patrick, Wilmington, DE, Edward Kelly (Diane), East Granby, Conn., Kathy Black, widow of Troy, Hershey, Michael Kelly (Kathy), Lebanon, Tara Daue, Baltimore, MD, Melissa Joyce, & Jody Dunnigan, both of Pottsville.

In addition to his parents, Jim is also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Dunnigan, Jr., & sister, Mary Kelly.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
