Jane Ulmer Kiefer, 81, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday, June 26th, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading.

Jane was born in Pottsville on April 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Walter & Mary (Galavage) Ulmer.

Married 57 years, she was the loving wife of Allen E. Kiefer.

Jane was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Friedensburg.

She was a 1962 graduate of Minersville High School, and a 1965 graduate of Geisinger Hospital School of Nursing.

Jane worked as a Registered Nurse for Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC, and the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Amanda Moore, of Cressona; son, John Kiefer, of Whitehall; five grandchildren: Shane, Kelsey, Baily, Emily, & Ella, two great-grandchildren: Adalynn Jane Fidler, & Alex James Fidler, Jr., her sister, Rita U. Kozo, of Coopersburg; & two brothers, Walter Paul Ulmer, of Friedensburg; & Joe F. Ulmer, of Schnecksville.

A private Graveside Service will be conducted at the family’s convenience at St. John’s Union Cemetery, Friedensburg, with Pastor Matthew Carpenter officiating.
