Jason Theodore Williams

Jason Theodore Williams, 54, of Pottsville, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at Cedar Crest Hospital in Allentown, surrounded by those who loved him.

Born on May 11, 1972, in Pottsville, Jason was the beloved son of Joseph Williams and the late Anna (Micklasavage) Williams.

Jason was a proud and devoted father to his two sons, Matthew Williams and Connor Williams, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was also a loving grandfather to his grandson, Navy, who held a very special place in his heart. Jason cherished every moment he spent with Navy and took great pride in being his grandfather.

Jason worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator and was a proud member of Local 542 Operating Engineers. He took great pride in his work, operating heavy machinery and running the shovel bucket while digging coal. He was a hardworking and dedicated man who took pride in providing for his family and in the work he accomplished.

Those who knew Jason best knew that his favorite place in the world was “the lot.” It was there that he was happiest—hunting, spending time with family and friends, watching his sons ride their dirt bikes, and hosting demolition derbies. “The lot” was more than simply a piece of land to Jason; it was a place filled with laughter, cherished memories, family, friendship, and many of the happiest moments of his life.

Jason will be deeply missed by his sons, Matthew and his fiancée, Kayla, and Connor; his grandson, Navy; his brothers, John Williams and his wife, Tabitha; Jesse Williams and his wife, Michelle; and Joseph Williams and his late wife, Dawn. He is also survived by one niece and four nephews; his uncles, Dennis, Albie, and Tommy; his late uncle, Edward Williams; and many loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Jason leaves behind much more than memories. He leaves behind the laughter shared at the lot, the sound of dirt bikes, the stories and memories from hunting trips, the excitement of demolition derbies, and, most importantly, the love he shared with his sons and grandson.

Although his life ended far too soon, the memories Jason created and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Until we meet again, Jason. Save us a spot at the lot.
