Jean A. Schaeffer, 68, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Wednesday at home.
Born in Pottsville, Nov. 26, 1946, she was a daughter of Elizabeth Dohner Luckenbill, Schuylkill Haven, and the late William Luckenbill.
She was the wife of Frank C. Schaeffer.
A 1964 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School, Jean was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Judith Ann Luckenbill.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are a daughter, Judith Kocher and husband, Joe, Schuylkill Haven; son, Todd Schaeffer and wife, Sarah, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Joey and Jaiden Kocher, Jeremy and Brayden Schaeffer, Gavin Hoffman and Dustin Jones and wife, Brandi; great-granddaughter, Emmalynn Jones; two sisters, Louann Hall and husband, Tom, Vermont, and Linda Coover and husband, Dave, Shippensburg; and a brother, William Luckenbill Jr. and wife, Tina, Schuylkill Haven.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Janet Lewis officiating. A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's name may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund, 121 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972.
