John C. “Jack” Dudley, 80, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday, December 1st, at West Reading Hospital.
Born in Barnesville on December 11, 1934, he was a son of the late William & Elsie (Graves) Dudley.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by three brothers: Tommy, Robert & Richard Dudley, and two sisters: Carolyn Beyer and Lois Umberger. Jack was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was the loving husband of Marlene E. (Umbenhauer) Dudley.
Jack was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and served in the Unites States National Guard.
He was employed by the Acme for 42 years as district supervisor.
Jack was past president of the Schuylkill County Shriners and volunteered as a driver for the Shriners, transporting children to the hospital. He was president of the Schuylkill Haven Library and was a member of the Orwigsburg Masons, Reading Consistory, and a past member of the Lions Club. He served on Schuylkill Haven Borough Council for 10 1/2 years, and served a four year term as president.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by three sons: Jere Dudley & wife, Jane, Pine Grove, Jeffrey Dudley & his companion, Lisa Rosenberger, Orwigsburg, and John T. Dudley & his companion, Sharon Wagner, Schuylkill Haven, a granddaughter, Sara Dudley, Orwigsburg, and a great-granddaughter, Camryn Dudley.
A viewing will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ted Rathman officiating.
Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
