John R. Sterner

John R. Sterner, 77, of Port Clinton, passed away Friday, August 18th, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.

John was born in Port Clinton, PA on October 14, 1939, a son of the late Grace (Overdorff) and Arthur Sterner.

He was the husband of Barbara A. Sterner.

He was a member of St. John's Church Port Clinton.

John retired from at Argo Knitting Mills as a Mechanic and also from Clover Farms Dairy Reading.

John was a Life member of Port Clinton Fire Company and Port Clinton Fish and Game and a member of Ponderosa Hunting Club Port Clinton.

John is  survived by three daughters, Cheryl, wife of  Patrick James, of Schuylkill Haven; Suzanne, wife of  Harold Correll, of Hamburg; Kathy, wife of  Andrew Barrow, of Orwigsburg;

A son,Craig, husband of  Alanna Sterner, of Tamara; also 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

John is also survived by two brothers, Richard "Mike" Sterner, of Molino; Robert Sterner, of York.

Funeral Service at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. 25 East Main Street, Schuylkill Haven, PA, at 2pm on Tuesday, August 22nd,  with Rev. Amy Kilpatrick officiating.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday 1 - 2 pm. at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. .
