Joseph F. Kline, 78, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away June 16 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Pottsville, April 17, 1938, he was a son of the late William L. and Catherine May Evans Kline.
He was the widower of Nancy E. Dietrich Kline.
Joe attended Schuylkill Haven High School and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.
He was employed by American Argo, Parkway Paper Box and Schuylkill Haven Borough Recreation Department.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Catherine Kline, Helen Herdon and Dolly Kramer; eight brothers, William R., William S., Daniel, John, Henry, Robert, Charles "Chuck" and Harris Lynn Kline.
Joe is survived by a son, William J. Kline and wife, Brenda, Cressona; five sisters, Mary Bound and husband, Jack, Katherine Turnitza and husband, John, and Almeda Kline, all of Pottsville, Sarah Kalbach, Pink Hills, N.C., and Blanche Arner and husband, Gary, Saint Clair; nieces and nephews.
An interment service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, officiated by Rev. Janet Lewis. A memorial service will be held Thursday evening at the Senior Citizen Center, Schuylkill Haven, at a time to be announced. Family requests donations in Joe's memory to Hillside SPCA, P.O.
