June R. Schoffstall, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, September 3rd, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, surrounded by her children.
Born in Pottsville on June 20, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Charles Frederick, Sr. & Margaret (Gradwell) Frederick.
She was the widow of Clarence R. Schoffstall, Sr., her husband of 40 years, who preceded her in death in 1994.
In addition to her parents, & husband, June is also preceded in death by her son, Clarence "Butch" Schoffstall, Jr., brothers: Charles, Edward, & Harold Frederick, infant grandson, Brent Schoffstall, and daughter-in-laws, Leslie, & Darlene Schoffstall.
June was a graduate of Cressona High School.
She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven, where she served as a member of the Women's Guild. June also belonged to the Friedensburg Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She was formerly employed by local textile factories as a machine operator.
June loved playing cards and visiting the casino to play penny slots.
She is survived by a son, Joseph H. Schoffstall, & companion, Trish Foltin, Schuylkill Haven, two daughters: Judy Penberth & husband, Tim, Cressona, & Margaret "Peggy" Pritchard & husband, Tim, West Brunswick Township. June is also survived by grandchildren: Amy Schoffstall, Heather Legutko, Mike Pritchard & wife, Ali, Jordan Schoffstall & wife, Candice, Allyson VanMaaren & husband, John, Paige Lurwick & husband, Mike, Autumn Eifert, & Bryant Penberth, great-grandchildren: Brooke, Grant, Adelyn, Amanda, Vincent, Emory, Nolan, Philip, Lucia, Eloise, Hadlee & Elliot, and nieces & nephews.
An evening viewing will be held at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven on Wednesday, September 6th from 5-7 PM.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted by Rev. Shawn VanDyke on Thursday, September 7th at 10:30 AM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven. An additional time for viewing will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
