Kathleen D. “Sissy” (Walters) Lafferty

Kathleen "Sissy" D. (Walters) Lafferty, 80, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10th, at Geisinger St. Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg, surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville on March 30, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Wanda L. (Dalton) Burch and Lawrence A. Waters, Sr.

Kathleen is the paramour of Paul Auman, Auburn, together 38 years.

After graduation from Pottsville Area High School in 1962, she was employed at various textile companies. She especially loved working as a clerk at Clauser's Service Center and Food Mart for several years.

Kathleen was a member of Christ ECC, Pottsville. She was also a proud member of PAHS Kilts as a bagpiper and the Auburn VFW where she bartended.

In addition to her paramour Paul, Kathleen is survived by daughters: Lynne, wife of Michael McGovern, Kimberly, wife of Michael Hannaford, and Jodi, wife of James George; grandchildren: Mark & Jeffrey McAnaney, Shane Auman, husband of Jasmine, Rachael, wife of Benjamin Cornelius, Michael McGovern, Dakota Robertson, and Tyler & Madison Hannaford; great grandchildren: Harley & Noah Cornelius. She is also survived by sister, Suzanne Rodriguez; brothers, Larry Cain and David Walters; and family members: Paul Auman, Jr., Harry Auman, Sr., Nathan Auman, Harry Auman, Jr., Madison Auman, and Michelle Flail and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Kathleen is preceded in death by son, Michael Jacobs and sister, Sandra Adams.

Services will be held at 10 AM at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling FHI, Schuylkill Haven on Saturday, July 13th. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private.
