Kenneth Leland Penkauski

Kenneth Leland Penkauski, 75, of Minersville, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–East.

Born in Pottsville on February 14, 1951, Ken was a son of the late Bernard and Mary (Renninger) Penkauski.

Ken was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, class of 1969.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville.

Ken played guitar and sang in many country bands including The Country Squires, Cheyenne, Whiskey River, Midnight Express, The Last Ones, Just Plain Country, Dallas and Doc Holiday. He also loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by children Kenneth B., Christine M., companion of Roger E. , Anthony J., husband of Aleea D., and Kaytlynn A., companion of Franklin T.; grandchildren Emily, Julie, Gage and Haylee; sisters Rose M. and Regina A.; several nieces,nephews and cousins.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
