Lawrence Edward "Larry" Moore, 77, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, Va.
Born in Pottsville, Aug. 1, 1937, he was a son of the late Edward L. and Jane D. Kehoe Moore.
He was the loving husband of Anne Williams Moore.
A 1956 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, he was the owner and operator of the Moore Co., Pigeon Feed Sales and Supplies.
Larry was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
He served in the Army Reserves.
Larry was a life member and past president of Mount Carbon Fire Company.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Gerry Moore.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Larry Moore II and wife, Marianne, Leesburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Laura, Mark and Brian Moore; two sisters, Mary Jane Dicello and husband, Tony, Auburn, and Margaret Etherington and husband, Calvin, Pottsville; nine nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow Mass at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pottsville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Nativity Preservation Support Fund, P.O. Box 82, Pottsville, PA 17901.
