Leah Dieter, Golden LivingCenters-Reading, passed away Thursday at the center.
Born in Pine Grove, Jan. 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Acker Hein.
Leah is the widow of the late Donald E. Dieter Sr.
She attended Pine Grove schools and worked as a press operator in the textile industry.
Leah was a member of the St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cressona.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Keefer, widow of Kenneth, Florida, and Florence Grieb, Reading; two sons, Elmer Dieter, husband of Dorothy, Indiana, and Donald E. Dieter, husband of Cindy, Elizabethville; a brother, Bob Hein, Pottsville; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life services at Saint Mark's UCC, Cressona, will be held Tuesday, January 6th, at 7:00 p.m.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday at the church from 6:00 p.m., until the time of service.
Interment will be held Wednesday, January 7th, at Cressona Cemetery, at 9:00 a.m.
