Lorna D. Fritz, 73, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday at her residence.
Born in Pottsville, Sept. 22, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Albert I. and Naomi E. Frantz Nagle.
She was the widow of James R. Fritz, who preceded her in death in 2010.
A graduate of Blue Mountain High School, she was formerly employed by Boscov's as a sales clerk.
Lorna was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Auburn, where she was a member of the choir.
She served as a member of the Auburn Borough Council, worked the election polls, and volunteered at The Salvation Army.
Lorna is survived by two daughters, Kim R. Kutza, Orwigsburg, and Kelly J. Reinheimer, West Lawn; a son, Kerry J. Fritz and wife, Jill, Cressona; seven grandchildren, Nakeshia, Luke and Bo Fritz, Madison and Samantha Kutza, and Jared and Cody Kleinsmith; a cousin whom she helped raise, George Nagle, Schuylkill Haven; sister, Carol Tocio and husband, John, Litchfield, N.H.; two brothers, Rex Nagle, Marietta, Ga, and Eric Nagle, Schuylkill Haven; sister-in-law, Carol Bahnsen, Mohnton; companion, Russel Mengel; nieces and nephews; an aunt and uncle; cousins.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. At the family's request, memorial donations in Lorna's memory may be sent to Donation Processing, The Michael J. Fox Foundation , P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
