Luther J. Long, 95, of Orwigsburg, passed away Wednesday at Orwigsburg Center.
Born in Pottsville, Sept. 10, 1919, he was a son of the late Robert and Mary Mengel Long.
He was the widower of Julia M. Mickshaw Long.
Luther served in the Army during World War II.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Alma and Theresa; and brothers, William and Walter Long.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald Long and wife, Beverly, and Randon Long and wife, Kimberly, all of Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren; Wendy Long, Lindsay Strouphauer and husband, Brandon, and Tyler Long; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hailey Strouphauer; and sisters, Betty Neyer and Marion DeLong.
