Marlene A. (Leiby) Bensinger

Marlene A. Bensinger, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Saturday at Broad Mountain Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.

Born in Wayne Township, Jan. 30, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Russell H. and Essie Miller Leiby.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Marlene was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Carpenter; three brothers, Russel R., Henry and Robert Leiby; three sisters, Kathryn, Anna and Mildred Leiby.

Her survivors include two daughters, Linda Brobst, Pittsburgh, and Lisa Breidigan and her husband, Darin, Cressona; two sons, Merwyn Bensinger and his companion, Ann Marie Sarra, Orwigsburg, and Richard Bensinger and his wife, Joan, Albrightsville; three grandsons, Thomas and Kurt Brobst and Darin Breidigan Jr.; two granddaughters, Jessica Brobst and Sharlene Breidigan; three great-granddaughters, Quinn, Irelyn and Delaney Brobst.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Zion's Red Church Cemetery.
