Mary J. (Vollmer) Keip

Mary J. Keip, 69, of Lebanon, formerly of Cressona, passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

Born in Pottsville, May 23, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mary D. Holiday Vollmer.

She was the wife of Bartholomew Keip, whom she married Nov. 23, 1968.

A graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1964, she formerly ran her own day care center.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Lebanon, and a former member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Cressona. Mary was also a member of the Cressona Eastern Star. She was a mother advisor for the Rainbow Girls and a former Girl Scout leader.

Mary was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Jimmy Vollmer; and a sister, Rita Gorczyaski.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth Eisenhauer, wife of Kevin, Lebanon; and three grandchildren, Katie and Mason Eisenhuaer, Lebanon, and Lauren Wagner, Cressona.

A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ebling Stabingas Funeral Home, 26 Chestnut St., Cressona, with the Rev. Gretchen Ierien officiating. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. At the family's request, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society  , 101 Frack St., Frackville, PA 17931-1734 or the American Heart Association  , 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109. Interment will be in Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.
