It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of Michael A. Kopinetz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Michael, 63, of Auburn, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 5th while in the care of his wife Kristine and family.

Born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 27, 1961, he was the son of Michael B. Kopinetz of Minersville and the late MaryAnn (Ciesla).

Married for 38 years, Michael was the husband of Kristine M. (Bowen) Kopinetz.

Michael graduated from Minersville Area High School in 1979. He was the owner-operator of Kopinetz Wood Products LLC.

Mike, as he was affectionately known, enjoyed spending time with his family and extended family, especially Easter gatherings in Tioga County, beach vacations in Maine, and many memorable camping adventures. He also enjoyed woodworking, collecting coins, reading, and watching home improvement shows, documentaries, and The History Channel. Mike, who had a very generous spirit, was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. He also graciously contributed to any charitable organization that reached out to him including St. Jude Research Hospital, Breast Cancer Research Foundation and The Shriners Organization.

In addition to his father and wife, Michael is survived by two daughters, Kassandra and Claire Kopinetz; and grandchildren, Bryson and MaryAnn. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly and remember him fondly.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 11:00 AM on May 10th at Geschwindt Stabingas Ebling Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the beginning of the service.
