Nancy L. Arnold, 70, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street.
Born in Pottsville, Feb. 27, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Louis J. and Mary K. DiCello DeFont.
She was a Pottsville High School graduate, Class of 1965, and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville.
Nancy was employed as a commercial lines rater with Penn National Inc., Harrisburg.
She was a volunteer at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville, Seton Manor, Orwigsburg, and Camp Dragonfly, Pine Grove.
Nancy will be remembered for her love of animals and anything that sparkles.
She is survived by a brother, Robert DeFont and wife, Barbara, Pottsville; nephew, Justin DeFont and wife, Melody, Naples, Fla.; niece, Lauren Davidson and husband, Shaun, Mechanicsburg; great-nephews, Graham and Bennett; cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. The family requests donations in Nancy's memory to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, PA 17901.
